I would personally recommend 2-mix, as they did the Gundam Wing soundtrack and that was actually pretty cool. Apart from that I don't know much about J-Pop. I like me a bit of J-Rock/Visual Kei though: Dir En Grey, Malice Mizer and X-Japan are pretty good.

My favorite J-Rock band is Asian Kung Fu Generation. It's fun stuff.
