The saddest song..

LibertinesFan:
The saddest song I've ever heard is Gone Away by The Offspring.  It's written about lead singer, Dexter Holland's first wife (or fiancee, I'm not sure which) who died in a car crash. It is an amazing song full of emotion.

Gone Away

Maybe in another life
I could find you there
Pulled away before your time
I can‘t deal it‘s so unfair

And it feels
And it feels like
Heaven‘s so far away
And it feels
Yeah it feels like
The world has grown cold
Now that you‘ve gone away

Leaving flowers on your grave
Show that I still care
But black roses and Hail Mary‘s
Can‘t bring back what‘s taken from me
I reach to the sky
And call out your name
And if I could trade
I would

And it feels
And it feels like
Heaven‘s so far away
And it stings
Yeah it stings now
The world is so cold
Now that you‘ve gone away

heretic:
maybe the lyrics are sad, but the song is not

LibertinesFan:
How can you say that?

heretic:
uhh.. it's my opinion. i formed it by listening to the song and responded to your post with it in mind... enough explanation?

LibertinesFan:
I wasn't being hostile I just can't see how you don't see the song as sad.  Ah well everyone entitled to their opinions....even if they're wrong :D
