EXPLOSIONS IN THE SKY

<< < (3/5) > >>

MilkmanDan:
You sir, are missing out.
But let's not let this devolve into a post-rock flame war.
Back to EITS. Yes, 'How strange, innocence' is limited edition CD-R crap, I'd forgotten about that. Just get The Earth... and revel in its wicked cool.

Psiogen:
Well, I'm not the flame-warring type, don't worry. I do like good post-rock, I just tend to wish it were, you know...better.

saturnine1979:
How Strange, Innocence was the first EITS album I heard, and it's always been my favorite. I wasn't aware of the limited release/CDR stuff because...well...I got it from a friend.

If you'd like to get it from a friend (and you should), let me know.

dyersrocket:
if you're into explosions in the sky check out godspeed you black emperor or a silver mt. zion
very chill, some cathartic moments, but mostly atmospheric, some lush strings here and there
probably most people that are into explosions in the sky have heard at least godspeed, but hey...mebbe mebbe

saturnine1979:
i concur with dyersrocket and add to that list:

-Do Make Say Think
-Tortoise

Post-rock mutha-fuckaaaaahs.
