Rilo Kiley

Kanno:
I heard "Portions For Foxes" the other day in a local beer garden after a Lil' Jon song.  It scared the hell outta me for a second!

Plus, I watched the videos for the More Adventurous hits, and I thought that Jenny would be hotter.  Maybe I'm picky.

My Aim Is True:
a few friends of mine have been into Rilo Kiley for years, but I never paid too much attention to them. However, Elvis Costello recently paid them some high praise, so NOW i'm interested in them.

ALoveSupreme:

--- Quote from: trolley ---Does anyone know whether these guys are any good live? 'cos they're playing London next week and i need to know whether it's worth:
1) parting with my cash that i so desperately need to buy myself a new computer.
2) wandering through camden, london on a tuesday night on my own, bearing in mind i'm a skinny, small 16 year old guy who's like a glowing beacon for any muggers to come and kick the crap outa me or murder me on the tube.

I like 'em , but are they any good live?
--- End quote ---

I've never seen them full band, I saw Jenny and Blake do an acoustic set in Chicago once, and to my memory it was really good, but it was just before I got really inbto them, so I only have a firm recollection of the songs I knew at the time.  If it says anything, the live gig got me wayyy more into them.  Hopefully that helps.

Yeah, I saw that Costello comp of "Artists Picks" or whatever... had all these famous and classic artists, i.e. Aretha Franklin, The Who, etc., then sticking their noses in were R.K.  I was very pleased.

muffy:
I like Rilo Kiley - I wish Blake would sing more as Jenny Lewis seems to be a bit Norah Jones-y at times on the new stuff.

And my mate offered me a ticket to that RK gig in london. but was too poor to go. grr

zekterellium:
