Sleater-Kinney on Thursday, then the Big Day Out on Friday. Then Bonnie "Prince" Billy in February. Then Sigur Ros in April.

That's the plan.

Hmm, supposedly saw Hey Willpower on Friday, but they only played two songs and it was a shitty club cameo... so, Of Montreal on Feb. 3rd, unless I decide to go to the Blixa Bargeld show this weekend, which I might not do because I probably have another commitment.  But BLIXA.

At this point it looks like nothing until the Dropkick Murphys on St. Patrick's Day. Which should be, as they say, the balls.

man, the way my friend described that band to me i thought they were gonna suck but they really, really don't. wrath pinned to mist is the most pop-tastic single i've heard for a while. i hope you enjoy the gig, man.

Did he get to do any shows before he cancelled his tour?

I saw Christopher O'Riley in concert last week.  Was great. :)

Um...  I think it was the local orchestra (the wonderful Charleston Symphony Orchestra) play a concert honoring Mozart.  The first half was his 'Jupiter' Symphony, and the second was "his" Requeim Mass.  Jupiter is always cool, and there are parts of the Requeim that don't suck that hard.  First concert from a musician who actually travelled here was a NYC pianist named David Berkman.  He played with two of the jazz faculty members at the local college, and he was fantastic.  I need to remind my teacher that I want the recording of that show.

Anthrax came here a while ago, and I almost went to see them, but I didn't like any of the other six bands they were playing with. And I generally don't like to sit through six bands of crap.

but the music sucks because the keyboards don't have the cold/mechanical sound they had but a wannabe techno sound that it's pathetic for Rammstein standars.

Going to see Black Rebel Motorcycle Club on the Landing in a week and a half. I'm excited as all hell because I love their new southern gospel rock approach.

Make sure to let me know how the New Pornographers show is, I'm going to one on the 20th.

I've seen AC Neman live and he was good, so I have high hopes for the rest of the guys.

Zombie Ghost Train was probably my first show, though I was just curious about the band.

Then Big Day Out.

But the highlight show of the year thus far: Deerhoof and Pivot at Spectrum, Sydney. Awesome Awesome.

The only actual group (worth seeing) that's coming to where I am any time soon is MMW, on April 15th.  It'll be my third time seeing them.  There may be more, but they're not listed on the venue websites.  Well, that's a lie.  George Clinton is coming, but it's a Sunday, and I have early classes on Monday.  I don't want to see him that badly.
