Musical differences
Sythe:
--- Quote from: TheToon_Ashtoon ---Yay, I'm famous!
And dont come near my ears with a drill >.< !!!
Especially not a black and decker cordless. That would be the worst.
It's like, my biggest fear.
--- End quote ---
Err... is there a story to your fear of cordless drills, or is it like me and the Quaker oatmeal guy?
shrimp:
I have a 5 year old nephew with really diverse musical tastes, He loves the Pixies, Queen, Madness, Sex Pistols, Sophie Elis Bextor, The Beatles (his name is Jude...), Nirvana and The Verve (where ever they went). He is a strange boy, but unfortunately this means the only way to send him running screaming is "Happy Hardcore" Dance music, and I'd rather not suffer that. So we coexist.
Deticui:
Dont feel bad guys, I have Fall Out Boy.
And my mom's 54, and the first time she heard Coheed and Cambria she thought they were pretty cool. Well, them, The Offspring, and Inspection 12.
Yes, Inspection 12. Gotta love it. <(i have no idea what i meant by that)
Cpt.Fantastic:
--- Quote from: Merkava ---Oh, and anyone who didn't get chills the first time they heard "Fix You" doesn't have a soul.
--- End quote ---
Nope, it is the worst song on the album after all. Musical differences hmm... Well, I happen to like Duran Duran quite a lot, to most of my friends' disbelief.
Merkava:
--- Quote from: TheToon_Ashtoon ---His overwhelming hatred for coldplay matches my overwhelming hatred for outkast. Yet, I don't think I would ever get into an argument about whether they are good or not and try to convince people who like that... crap... otherwise. Damn, it really is like arguing with a wall. Maybe I'm just non-confrontational, but last time I checked people who enjoy a certain band probably won't stop enjoying them just because someone else thinks that band is shit. I'm pretty sure you can't change the way someone hears music. That's the beauty of having a mind of your own.
--- End quote ---
I...like Outkast. T_T
And I thought "Fix You" would have been so much better if it had been a closer. That way, you wouldn't have to debate on whether it is a good song or not. Kind of like "Long Distance Runner" by Fugazi, or "Line of Best Fit" by Death Cab for Cutie.
