salada:
google says mysterious cities. and i trust google more than i trust my memory...
there's a rumour that hayao miyazaki (of studio ghibli's spirited away, my neighbour totoro, and so on) did the character designs for the show. i think i'd beleive it, too.
tetsuotheironboy:
eerie indiana! until my dad got me into the outer limits it was a pretty decent substitute. Especially remember the episode where theres a family who sleep in giant tupperware containers every night to achieve immortality and one where a character befriends a sentient ATM machine which gives him everyone elses money and the whole town goes broke feeding the kids designer for trendy sneakers. Anyone else see that show?
shrimp:
I was SUCH a cartoon freak! I used to watch like EVERY CARTOON going, except transformers, Thundercats was always so much better!
I prefered He-Man to She-Ra. I never missed a single episode of Mysterious Cities Of Gold (my dad loved it to, the south american-ness cheered him up, I think he missed home) or Pete & Pete or Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles.
Found an old video with the TMHT on, watched it, it rocks! Although April isnt as cool as I remembered.
I also loved the Dungeons& Dragons cartoon. I was such a cartoon whore though. I even watched The Poddington Peas.. :|
CoinOperatedGirl:
Pirates of Dark Water. Man I miss that show. I also watched all those Nick shows, Pete and Pete and Hey Dude etc. Reboot is another favorite. Hell I'd still watch most of these.
shrimp:
oooh! I'd forgotten about Pirates of Dark Water! Thanks for reminding me, gonna go look in the old video store and ee if they have any videos... :)
