Music Used To Calm People Down

TheCourtJester:
For some reason, any particularly good vocalist/vocal performance puts me to sleep. I've fallen asleep a lot to Micheal Crawford, Josh Groban, Seal, New York Voices, Gregorian, Bad Religion (can't really explain that one, accctually), C-Sus. I also tent to listen to musical soundtracks...the first ones that come to mind are "Wicked," "Les Miserables" (at the Royal Albert Hall, all over version are shit), "Stop the World, I Want to Get Off," "Rigoletto," "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat," "Phantom of the Opera" (Not the movie...the one with Micheal Crawford as the Phantom...the movie is shit compared to it), "Jesus Christ Superstar," and "Tell me on a Sunday." I USED to listen to "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying" but since I've now BEEN finch in it....it keeps me awake. I start running lines in my head which drives me fuckin insane.

I've also been known to blast System of a Down at top-volume and take a nap.

Jed:
Sigur Rós, Tom Waits, Bob Marley & The Wailers. That's my top three.

And i thought i was the only freak who had a secret addiction for andrew lloyd webber show tunes and used them to go to sleep :P I especially love listening to phatom of the opera to chill out it reminds me of how i always used to dream of playing the part of christine and would beg my vocal coach to teach me how to sing like sarah brightman (too bad i never had her vocal range *sigh*) .... yeah im a dork :P

Other chil out tracks of mine include
Death Whispered a Lullaby by Opeth
The whole albumn 'Mer de Noms' by A Perfect Circle
The albumn 'Images and words' by dream theater
and a hell of alot of Teaparty tracks like The Messenger, Release, Wishing you would stay, The Watcher, Requim

I will aslo second Pink Floyd plus add Harry Connick Jr, The Manhatten Transfers and old school Madonna into the mix as these are artists i remember falling asleep to as a child (damn my mothers uber crazy eclectic mix in music)

Cassie:
