Am I alone...

(1/2) > >>

Sam:
In loving 80s music? I mean, I really don't like mainstream pop much (not to sound like I'm trying hard to be alternate...I hate people like that) and I don't like metal at all. However, I love 80s pop with lots and lotsa synth and I love 80s metal, like poison.

So, boys and girls? Tell me if I'm alone.

KharBevNor:
NO.

That is all.

The 80's was, musically speaking, in many ways just way better than the nineties. I loathe Britney or Girls Aloud, but I loves me some Culture Club or Soft Cell. The eighties was an era of actual goth rock being popular, of mainstream rock meaning Europe, Poison and Iron Maiden, of industrial music meaning Laibach and Throbbing Gristle, of black metal being Venom and Bathory, of Thrash metal actually being good and of pop-punk not existing whatsoever.

I was, I will always freely admit, born at least twenty years too late.

Sam:
Me too, man. However, I also think I was born 30 years too late 'cause seeing The Who live would be an orgasm.

I need a flying Delorian.

Not An Addict:
Given that '80s music constitutes about 70% of my entire collection, I'd say no. I, too, was born in the wrong decade.

Threatis:
I love SELECT 80's music, but 18 year olds, who would have been born in 1987 acting "so 80's" drives me up the damn wall. some of us lived through it, and trust me, alot of it wasn't that special.
