Favorite Concept Album(s)
pwhodges:
And even though the album may not be their very best, it's still pretty damn good. Of course, hearing it when it came out rather than as a relic from history might have some bearing on my view of it - but whatever has happened since doesn't invalidate the quality it displayed right then.
PintsizesBloodyCock:
Yeah, yeah, I know, Thrice. They've come a damn long way from their first couple albums.
Vuk:
I found Fire & Water so disappointing, though Air & Earth were great. Nothing tops Vheissu, imo.
Elysiana:
Another vote for Dream Theater's Scenes from a Memory and Opeth's Still Life...
Also add to the list:
Devin Townsend - Ziltoid the Omniscient
Porcupine Tree - In Absentia
Rosetta - The Galilean Satellites
Vuk:
Haha, Rosetta doesn't have concept albums, as much as just an obsession with Europa. I love it, though.
EUROOOPAAAA. BURNOOOIIING DIMMER NOOOOOOW. Most brutal thing ever.
