I'm in with considering DFA1979 indie synth.... at which point, it's them and Metric tied for the win... Canadian bands... Woo!

Obviously The Postal Service is in there as well, and, though they dub themselves "New Wave Punk", I'd throw in some stuff from the Epoxies too... i.e. "Synthesized"

The faint was mentioned but neglected. They are schweet.

Also, and I can already feel the backlash from this, but for really poppy synth-pop, the new Motion City Soundtrack isn't half bad.

With stuff like Everything is Alright, Make Out Kids, and Time Turn Fragile, I'd have to agree with the MCS
