DFA1979 is the actual definition of post-hardcore. They utilize synths, but so did Wire; they're too loud and harsh to be classified as synthpop, methinks. However, they do play +150 Drum'n'Bass of Awesome, so uh yeah I guess we could count them based purely on how cool they are.

I'm all about The Postal Service, M.I.A., Erasure, Tahiti80, Bjork, Digital Ash-mode Bright Eyes, and the more synth-based moments of The Bravery.

However, the best indie synth/electro-pop right now is hands-down Metric.
