I'm not sure if I have ever mentioned this...
Not An Addict:
I'm not familiar with Cash outside his cover of "Personal Jesus", which sent me into convulsions. Maybe I'll download some of the songs mentioned here, but I'm really not into country.
--- Quote from: My Aim is True ---But if you actually dislike Johnny Cash's voice, music, writing, etc, if you say you hate country music and then lump him in with the rest of it, if you cannot appreciate Johnny Cash even casually, then I do not want to talk to you, and I'm not sure I trust you as a human being.
--- End quote ---
[Sigh.]
KharBevNor:
--- Quote from: ebullientsoul ---Praising Johnny Cash is the new black.
I wonder how many of you will be denying you did so in a year.
--- End quote ---
I first heard Johnny Cash when I was four. So I doubt it.

What Khar said. I would suggest that you save your criticisms for music in the future, and not judge people.
Praeserpium Machinarum:
Arguably Cash is more interesting as a person than an artist, though I admit A Boy Named Sue just might be the greatest country song of all time.
KharBevNor:
"My name is Sue!
How do you do?
Now you gonna die!"
Best three lines ever.
Also 'The Mercy Seat' is arguably the only overtly Christian song that I really express a liking for.
