Vs. songs

sp2:
My take on it is that Vs. tracks tend to lose any sort of unique sound that the musicians have on their own.  That's fine if you're just looking for something to spin at a party or a rave (do they still have raves?  or did those go extinct?), but really, it sucks if you're actually interested in the music.

Hairy Joe Bob:
the 2 I mentioned are dance tracks, well one is, the other is an industrial groove grungey thing which one can dance to. I think if it's dance music it's fine. isn't that what most dance music is anyway?

Merkava:

--- Quote from: La Creme ---Heh. I've seen em twice, and speaking from experience, sell your soul for an Aquabats show. So damned funny.
--- End quote ---

I really really really want to see them live.

A) Sure, as something to spin at a club, that's fine, although a real DJ will do some creative mixing of his own, so he can spin whatever he damned well pleases.  Same with raves, although I'm pretty sure raves are all but extinct.  But most dance music is actually mixed by an in-house DJ, well, it is if you go to a half-decent club.

B) Prodigy is not industrial.

Just to piss off Kai and Khar, I'm going to suggest that an Inkubus Sukkubus vs. The Residents track would be hilarious, though.

Kai:
That would actually be totally awesome. I mean, one group singing about Vampires and whatnot and another group singing about Wars between mole people. How can you go wrong?
