Oct 2nd Ted Leo and The Pharmacists

YES! Good choice! Not because of Ted Leo. I mean, he's good and stuff, but: North of America didn't break up and are instead opening for him! With new songs! And North of America are the best Canada ever spawned and also happen to be my favorite band.
If it's somehow possible, could you bootleg their show for me? That would be the best thing ever. I would also pay money if need be.

As for me:
Spoon
A Case Of Grenada
Melt Banana
The Locust

I'm thinking about Of Montreal, they're also touring Germany soon.

And Horse The Band are also supposed to play my hometown this year, though I don't know when.

Pretty Girls Make Graves was decent was night.  Lots of energy, relatively inspipred setlist (although they did nothing from the EP, which annoyed me).  They played some new stuff, which was cool, but I wasn't particularly impressed by it....a lot of it felt like they were trying to rip off Hot Hot Heat and Decemberists.

The new keyboardist is HOT though.

Also, their opening band, IQU was fucking awesome.  They did some mad-ass sound manipulation.  I guess you could call them electronica, but man, they were something else.

oh, and it seems franz is coming back to town, not playing in a club, not playing in some medium concert hall but in the most sellout place to go - the place where robbieeee, kylieeee, hansiiii (hinterseer) and all the other scourges of mankind (with screamable last syllables) playback their music.. oh boy...

The Killers, Modest Mouse, The Arcade fire (meh...I'll skip that probably), Doves, British Sea Power, HIM, Mindless Self Indulgence, Nine Black Alps, The Lovemakers...Shoreline Ampitheater in San Fran on Oct 8th. I'm hoping to go...

Either that OR system of a Down in Arco on the 9th of that month...

And The Bad Plus? THERE'S an acquired taste...I got o see 'em in San Jose a week or two ago. Technically opened for 'em, actually.

Franz Ferdinand were really awesome. Heard like five new songs, and they were bloody good. Especially Villain. Can't wait for the new album.

I'm really excited for this fall in Michigan.  Acts coming near me include:

Of Montreal
Death Cab for Cutie (not particularly excited for it, but i should be able to get in for free as an usher, as a friend of mine is the head usher for the show, and the venue is about 10 minutes from my house)
Sufjan Stevens in a week!
Bloc Party two days after that!
Andrew bird is also playing basically down the street from me.
