I was slightly disappointed as well. I mean, it was still a great book, but it wasn't 'can't put it down' great. It took me much longer than I'd anticipated to read it.

Yeah, as much as I enjoyed AFfC, I gotta say I wasn't to excited by "Oh yeah, that person who was a major character with his own chapters and everything?  Yeah, he's dead" just getting slipped in 3/4ers of the way through the book.

Yeah.  Fuck RR up his stupid ass.  The last book was only half of a book, and the shite half that I could have done without.  All the important characters were totally ignored.  Balls to that.

You want a series, you go read Steven Erikson's Malazan Book of the Fallen series.  That's more like it.
