Pfft, iPods.  Walking around in your own little musical world is the quickest way to get run over by a car.  If I'm out and about I like to listen to what's going on around me; if I'm on public transport and I need entertainment I eavesdrop on the conversation behind me.

Heh.  I have an ample classical music collection that I like to rip at a higher bitrate.  60gb fills up fast.  I imagine that most people would make use of it by using a lossless format, or simply using it as a portable harddrive.
