MusicScribbles:
Okay, fine, Built to Spill aren't my favorite band, but I should've added a sidenote saying I like them. I just think they're a bit overrated, which is probably helped by the fact that so many people in my area are in to them (So much that they splooge. Yes, it has become masturbatory.).
Deerhoof will always have a special place in my heart, which may sound pretentious to some. And remember, I think they're awesome. Sorry I didn't state that clearly enough. Although I know I didn't say they were one of the quintessential indie bands. That's a bit, if I may,

(MIND-BLOWING WORD ALERT!)

highfalutin'.

AGREED

Then again, I just BTed Hearts of Oak and it was rather disappointing. Shake the Sheets was okay. I hope this new one is just as awesome as Tyranny.

AC/DC

AC/DC released one of the highest selling albums of all time after the lead singer died, and yes i will concede that some of the mid eighties stuff was...well, complete shite, really, but they have come back with a vengeance recently.

ANYway:

SOME BANDS THAT ARE GOOD
AC/DC
Lamb Of God
Frenzal Rhomb
Nick Cave
sounds Like chicken

SOME BANDS THAT ARE AWFUL
My Chemical Romance
Simple Plan (both of these bands deserve to be poked in the eye with a really hot French fry)
Good Charlotte
Coldplay
Franz Ferdinand

SOME BANDS THAT ARE VASTLY OVERRATED
U2
Tool
Muse
Dream Theater

SOME BANDS THAT I USED TO THINK WERE AWESOME BUT AM NOW SORT OF BURNED OUT ON
Green Day
KISS
The Who
Metallica
The Clash

I'm afraid I have to once and for all declare that nothing you say on this page makes you appear sane.

Ernest:
Well, I was about to quote where I said "the new rule: there are no rules," but I accidentally clicked "delete" instead.  Well, Johnny, it appears that you win on a technicality.
