Maybe he just doesn't like rap? This is about personal tastes after all.

I don't really like rap. It's not even the rapping so much, although it can be, it's the arrangement and rhythms of the beats, the subject matter of some groups, etc. etc. I just don't find it meshes with me or appeals to me as a person. Maybe it's veiled racism or something, although tbh I doubt it.

I do quite like Goldie Lookin' Chain when I'm in the mood though, and of course Rare Form. This is probably, as I say, because I can just identify with them. Also, because Goldie Lookin' Chain are hilarious.

And that Star Wars rap, that is rather, what is it you young people say, diseasin'.
