Ok, basically what you do here is post the current tour dates of a band you think people need to see, tell them why they should go, and then beat them with a (interwebs) stick if they dont.

THE BAD PLUS 2005 TOUR CALENDAR

October
1 SOMERVILLE, MA — Somerville Theatre
6 BRUSSELS, BELGIUM — AB Club
7 FRANKFURT, GERMANY — Hessischer Rundfunk
8 STRASBOURG, FRANCE — Palais de la Musique et des Congres
9 HEIDELBERG, GERMANY — Enjoy Jazz Festival
26 LOS ANGELES, CA — Roxy Theatre
27 SOLANA BEACH, CA — Belly Up Tavern
28 SANTA BARBARA, CA –– Lobero Theatre
31 BOULDER, CO — Boulder Theatre

November
1 SEATTLE, WA — Dimitrious Jazz Alley
2 SEATTLE, WA — Dimitrious Jazz Alley
3 PORTLAND, OR — Berbati's Plan
4 SAN FRANCISCO, CA — The Independent
5 ROHNERT PARK, CA — Evert B. Person Theater
6 COLUMBUS, OH — Ohio State University
12 LONDON –– Queen Elizabeth Hall
13 SOUTHAMPTON, ENGLAND –– Turner Sims Concert Hall
15 CORK, IRELAND — Half Moon
16 DUBLIN, IRELAND — The Sugar Club
18 CARTAGENA, ES ––  Nuevo Teatro Circo
19 ZARAGOZA, ES ––  Auditorio
20 AMSTERDAM –– BimHuis
21 GHENT, BELGIUM — Handelsbeurs Gand
26 NEWARK, NJ — New Jersey Performing Arts Center (w/ Ornette Coleman)

December
10 MEXICO CITY, MEXICO — El Lunario at the Auditorio Nacional
11 MEXICO CITY, MEXICO — El Lunario at the Auditorio Nacional
26 MINNEAPOLIS, MN — Dakota Jazz Club & Restaurant
27 MINNEAPOLIS, MN — Dakota Jazz Club & Restaurant
28 MINNEAPOLIS, MN — Dakota Jazz Club & Restaurant
29 WINNIPEG, MB –– Ramada Marlborough Conference Center

WHY YOU NEED TO GO: The Bad Plus put on what might as well be a rock show for the amount of energy in the crowd, the volume of the music, and the outright intensity of the whole endeavor, but it is Jazz nonetheless. You should mostly go because you will have a good time listening to their covers, even if you don't know their original stuff, and to get in early and get close to the drums to watch Dave King flipping the fuck out on his set. Also, because it is a cheap show. The one I've been to and the one I'm going to on the 26th are under 20 U.S. dollarmoneys.

but the music sucks because the keyboards don't have the cold/mechanical sound they had but a wannabe techno sound that it's pathetic for Rammstein standars.

This is Buckethead:

He's basically the most awesome guitarist ever. He plays thrash metal licks, soundtracks to horror films that don't exist, and does a lot of shit with Bill Laswell. He also does stuff with so many fucking bands and goes under so many different names: , Death Cube K (An anagram of Buckethead), Praxis, Giant Robot, Zillatron, Cobra Strike, Arcana, El Stew, and The infamous Deli Creeps. Seriouosly, check it out if you have any self respect.

It seems that your description of Buckethead has glossed over one important fact.

He's a member of Guns and Roses. Or was, at least.

A member of Guns and Roses? SLASH?

Even though I hate GnR with a passion, this guy interests me greatly. I checked him out on AMG and he should most definently kick ass.

Also, he made an album with Viggo Mortison.

Which gets a 9.5 on the WTF Richther scale.

Also, there is a picture of him in one Screeching Weasel album or another without his bucket 'n mask.
