I've never read any interviews with the band or anything but I would have a hard time believing that they take themselves seriously.
All that said, I can definately see where people are coming from and there really isn't anything particularly special about them but they are a lot of fun to listen to.

I noticed that she has a huge list of people whom she loves. Or <3s or lessthanthrees or something.
Are you by any chance on that list?
