It's Thom Yorke's birthday today!  He turns 37!

Considering he's one of the brightest music minds alive, I felt it worthwhile to post about his birthday.

And I know that - for whatever reason - it's now become fashionable to dislike Radiohead, but whatever.  They are arguably one of the best bands in music, and Thom Yorke is like unto a God.  :)

I hated radiohead before it was cool.

Well I'm one of those people who liked them long before it was cool to like them, then liked them when it was cool to like them, and like them still... so while that may give me ZERO indie-cred or music-taste-cred, it at least shows that I /actually/ like the band.  :P

About the same time it was cool to like good music.  But hey, if people don't like good music, that's fine... it's their prerogative.

Boy oh boy you two look stupid right now.

I've loved Radiohead for nearly five years now, since I first saw the Pyramid Song video. Ironic really, since Amnesiac is one of my least favourites now...

I think Radiohead have two exceptional albums (OK Computer and The Bends), two great albums (Kid A and Hail To The Thief), and two so-so albums (Amnesiac and Pablo Honey). But all of them have at least two or three utterly classic tracks.

I'm still undecided as to whether i prefer OK Computer or The Bends.

Oh, and Thom Yorke is hot, even with his crazy eye.

Sideways, I'm with you. Radiohead is still one the best gorram bands around. I've liked them since I saw them preform "Creep" on MTV's Beach House in '93.

(Radiohead cred++)

Happy birthday Thom Yorke!

Also, OK Computer IS the best album by Radiohead, followed by The Bends.

I saw a video of that a few years back. That was amazing. Thom actually held that big note! I was really astonished by that. (edit: Jesus, how many times can I say 'that'? That that that that that!)

IMHO, Just is the best song Radiohead ever wrote. I'm so glad they still play it, if I ever get to see them live, if they play that then I'll probably sperm on the next two rows.

P.S. I accept that OK Computer is better than Bends, but I prefer Bends. Probably because it doesn't have Fitter/Happier on it...

I like OK Computer, and Kid A a hell of a lot, but most of the other stuff is just okay or even bad sometimes (Hail to the Theif...)

Happy birthday to Thom Yorke, though. Because happy birthday to everybody's birthday.

Yeah, I love Radiohead. I think all of their albums are great, really. (Although I still haven't bothered to check out Pablo Honey, 'cause I hear it's mediocre. Creep's pretty good.)

But happy birthday to Thom, even though he is a crazy bastard with poor typing skills. (Proof.)

I remember Radiohead back when they were a one-hit wonder ("Creep").
