I caught AiH live last night

Inlander:
Yeah, it's not so much that he seems to be singing in a punk/hardcore style, it's just that he's so intense and taking it all so seriously.  But it works brilliantly for some songs: when I saw them play a couple of months ago the first song they played was What's In Store?, which just came roaring out of the blocks.  It was awesome.

And I'm with you, there's nothing more disappointing than when you spend money on a gig and the band just re-treads the recording note-for-note.

AwesomeAaron:
I wish I could see AiH. I live in shit town tho. I would give my pinky fingers just to see something good. I love australia stuff like steve Irwin(getting eaaten), the instruments in AiH, that preganant chick in lost, Finding Nemo. I sorry fo my stupid comments

Inlander:
Incidentally, does anybody else's copy of In Case We Die do a funny little skip at 2:02 in "Do the Whirlwind"?  I'm wondering whether it's a deliberate (very strange) part of the song, or whether it's a problem with the particular C.D. batch that mine came from.  I know it's not a problem specifically with my one C.D., because the original copy of the album I bought had the same glitch so I took it back to the shop and got it replaced, thinking it was a fault with the C.D.

JLM:

I take it you saw them in Washington, D.C. at the Black Cat then.  I generally tried to avoid shows at the Black Cat but I might have made an exception for AiH.

I managed to catch the AiH show in June at DC9 right before we moved out to the west coast.  I'm pretty sure they played "One Heavy February" at that show, but I'm glad they're switching it up.

Exit Clov is decent.  I think that at times they sort of wander in weird directions, which may or may not be a result of the differing musical opinions/tastes of some of the members, but overall they put out some quality stuff.
