Der Tattoo Thread.
JJMitchell:
I can always rely on my fellow QCers to make me feel like less of a geek.
I totally (TOTALLY) need to get it now.

Also, I'm extremely excited that Des Moines's best tattoo artist, Dante, is back from his world travels, so I can start working with him on my back piece. I'll be getting a full back of a phoenix to compliment my sister's smaller back piece (not a tramp stamp, but close). It will be done in black and white, but then I hope to get flames worked in over it in UV ink.

Doesn't UV ink kind of poison you? I think I heard that somewhere but if it doesn't, I so want a UV tattoo!
SeanBateman:
Probably going to get the sketch from This Calvin and Hobbes strip on my inner bicep.

Kinda sorta but not really. UV ink thus far doesn't have a good track record for holding up for long periods of time, and I've heard accounts of a few people having long term allergic reactions to it. I personally wouldn't get any UV ink until more research and fine tuning is done, but when done well it still looks amazing.
Heijoshin:
I've seen people who've had good results. I don't plan on doing the overlay until I have seen more, but the back piece itself will most definitely be done by the end of this summer.
