Yeah I'm using shot glasses. They work ok, but I keep getting salt water in my eye and it stings like a cunt.

If the cunt stings you need to a) get to a doctor, quickly and b) find a new girl.

For real.

You guys might be the kinda people who can help me: I think the graze on my knee is infected. Would yellow, oozing pus and constant pain be a sign of infection? If so, how can I fix it? I tried to bathe it in hot salt water but it's hard when it's your knee, it is the wrong shape.

Yup that's infected. Has it properly scabbed over yet? Or is it still in that weepy-healing kinda' phase? If it hasn't properly scabbed over then the hot salt water or something like Savalon antiseptic spray will kill the infection in it.

It's still weeping, and hurting like hell. I can't figure out a good way to soak it in salty water short of doing some kind of weird kneeling squat over a bowl (and I don't have a bowl anyway). I'll maybe buy some antiseptic spray.

You don't really need to soak it. You could get some cotton balls or something and use them to dab the salt water on it.

Just soak cotton balls or a paper towel in warm salt water and then put it on your knee for a while. After that, make sure to rinse it off and let it air dry to keep fibers from getting in it.

So, I recently started taping my 15/16" plugs up to 1" and it's impressive how much tape this is taking. I am pretty certain I could make Kat full 1/2" plugs with what I've used thus far.

Beautiful, Gemm !

Also guys, rember when I wanted that Kandinsky on my foot? I booked an appointment today for the 12th to get it doneee. I mean, not on the foot though, because I've been thinking that my arm would be a much better place for such a detailed and colourful tattoo. My artist felt the same way and adviced me to go even bigger as well, so I'm sorta getting a half sleeve now. Fuck yeahhhh!

Guys guys guuuuys.

I got all the line work of my Alice in Wonderland half sleeve done yesterday!  I was supposed to get some shading done too but I was so swollen and tender that we decided against it.  Every time she wiped it clean I was flinching away.  But it's awesome.

I will post pics when I am healed and not gross!

I almost drunkenly made an appointment with my local tattoo artist 2 weeks ago. I was telling her about this idea for a tattoo I had and basically would have liked to have it done a few days later, but she said that she won't be free until october.

I just got them stretched for the first time that day! I had to go to see my piercers about my vertical labret, and figured while I was there I might as well do it!

The guy stretched them to an 8g, and my holes were probably a 12g already (from wearing earrings that were a bit heavier), so it was a double stretch. The second step was the one that hurt, and my ears were throbbing a lot after that. But my new plugs look so pretty! Plus now I can put spirals in, so I probably won't stretch them any more than this; if I do it won't be much bigger, maybe the next size up.

hey forum so i have a tattoo idea that i just wanna get some input on.

so this calvin and hobbes strip:

its the last one bill ever did, and i wanna do something i think with the last part of it, with calvin and hobbes riding down on a sled with calvin saying "lets go exploring." the idea is still in its early stages so i havent thought about how i would work it out yet, how to deal with the mass amount of white in it, but if i decide i actually wanna get this in like, a long ass time from now ill figure something out.

You could always get the text in there without the speech bubble. Possibly below the image of the characters on the sled.

Also guys I'm getting closer to having the money to book the beginning of my X-men sleeves (I'm starting with the supervillains down my left arm. I'm still trying to decide on whether I should go black white and grey or full colour. Thoughts?

i'm generally not fond of text in tattoos, but that's just a personal opinion.

then again i have been thinking of getting a departed friend's initials inked on me so what the hell do i know.

edit: i like jimmy's idea, you could get it all arty and maybe even have the text follow the flow of the sled/c&h.

Jimmy, I prefer black and white/greyscale, but it seems that everyone else in the world prefers a lot of color, so I think that is a pretty personal choice.

Sean, I would get the speech bubble, but leave it smallish, and not put the white inside the bubble. Does that make sense?

I vote for putting the text inside the speech bubble as a caption under the image.

Jimmy, greyscale can be cool stylistically but honestly for X-Men you've gotta go full, vibrant color.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking. Luckily I'm not getting overly garish characters. Left arm is going to be Mr Sinisiter, Magneto and Apocalypse so a lot of reds, purples and blues and right arm is going to be Archangel, Deadpool and Wolverine in his X-Force costume so blues, greys, reds and blacks. I'm just worried about it as I've only ever had black and white before and I don't want this to look silly (or at least, sillier than it has to).
