BeoPuppy:
Well, now we know a new definition of the words stupid idiot.

Welu:
I thought that was brilliant. I want to see the tattoo, if there is much of one which there doesn't seem to be watching the video.

I love seeing sideshow performers doing what they love. You will never see so much glee and happiness when incredibly stupid, painful and possibly dangerous stunts are being performed.

ackblom12:
I also love this part of that story:

--- Quote ---For the first time in recorded history, a man has been tattooed on a running roller coaster. That man was none other than Sweet Pepper Klopek, one half of the world’s most extreme two man circus sideshow comedy magic extravaganza known as the Monsters of Schlock. His brother, and other half of the daredevil duo, the great Orbax, performed the tattoo. As a matter of fact it was the first time he had EVER tattooed!

The wild stunt took place at the PNE Playland fairgrounds in Vancouver BC Canada on Oct 24th 2012 on the wooden roller coaster. Two successive trips around were required, totalling in just under four minutes of track time covering a total distance of 1732 m. At points the coaster hit 47 mph, took a drop of 75 ft and pulled 2.2 g’s.

The tattoo itself was a lizard face, the logo of their long time sideshow friend and coworker, Erik Sprague, the world famous Lizardman. As the coaster hit the first incline, the five time Guinness World Record breakers proclaimed ‘One small tattoo for man, one giant leap for douchebags everywhere!’.

The Monsters of Schlock have performed skilled, daring and dangerous all over the world but this, by far, they claim to be their stupidest.

Also, a couple of things I just realized I may never have linked.

BME used to do interviews on a fairly regular basis with members of the body modification community, both professionals and people who had work done. A while back Shannon made a collection of all 14 years worth of interviews and put them together in a free to download PDF and also sells a physical copy of the book called "Opening Up". That can be found here. The book does include some NSFW images, but most of it is perfectly fine in that regard.

He also managed to put up a free PDF download of a book that was published in 2002 called ModCon, which can be found here. They both have some NSFW material in them, but ModCon is a very intense book as it focuses on some rather heavy surgical modifications. This includes photos of procedures such as scarifications, castrations, penectomy, meatotomy, implants and many other things. So be warned, if you aren't interested in these things and don't have a strong stomach for it, it might be a bit much. If Shannon can find a on-demand printer willing to do it, he's wanting to get more copies printed and sell them which I'd be ecstatic about.

Both of these are really wonderful collections for documenting the evolution of the industry and the philosophy that drives it. The rather rapid increase in knowledgable and effective after care, the increase in piercers actual medical knowledge, the rather clear periods where the industry started getting noticed by people who didn't understand it and the eventual mainstream acceptance (for the most part) of at least the most basic aspects of it. They're both incredibly fascinating if you are interested at all.
