Tea Party Fans?
dessa:
who here is a tea party fan
Jarne:
For those of us who have not heard of them, would you care to give a description of their music?
Inlander:
I used to be a huge Tea Party fan - however, I stopped listening to them after Transmission, when two vitally important facts became apparent to me:
1) They were getting worse and worse with each new release (Splendor Solis is still one of the best albums of the '90s, in my opinion. The Edges of Twilight is like a less interesting version of it.)
2) They were disappearing up their own backsides. Seriously, when bands start believing their own hype, and especially when they stop producing the goods, it's time to jump ship.
So, kids: go out and buy Splendor Solis, and mourn what might have been.
sjbrot:
The Tea Party are a Canadian group of some reknown up here who try and blend the musical traditions of the East and the West, which means they make rock music with sitars.
And it is very true that they have been going downhill. Their most recent, Seven Circles, is over-produced and has very few good tracks on it.
Also, and keep in mind I enjoy their music, they have a prentious streak like no one else.
Forty instruments in one song ("Sister Awake") = Pretentious.
Naming a song after a little known Russian novel ("The Master and the Marguerita") = Pretentious.
Still, they have alot of great songs out their. Try downloading something off of the aforementioned Splender Solis.

Does anyone else think Jeff Martin would make a great Judas in jesus christ superstar?
