Because yes, singing is the only important part of metal.  WTF!?!  And instead of following her career, why not follow art singers who are far better at the whole operatic voice thing than she is?

It's just funny because in the open "letter" they say how she had little to no artistic input and that the other band members "cannot write her any more songs to sing"

Come on, Tarja was, at the end of the day, a generic gothy-looking opera chick. She didn't actually write any of the music herself. All they need is another generic gothy-looking opera chick and they'll be fine. It's the Nightwish music that I like, not (especially) her voice. Although I wish Tuomas would cut down on the angsty lyrics.
