Fishbone - Drunk Skitzo

"My son's a punk
My daughter's a lezbo
My unc's a drunk
I can't make my mind up"

Man, I can't beleive how long it's been since I listened to this album. Spazz-ska at its best.

(next)

Tom Waits - Another Man's Vine

"I see a red rose
I smell a red rose
Red rose blooming
On another man's vine."

Now I'm listening to selections a list of three hundred thousand-odd artist names whose phonetics I am supposed to fill in and fix.  I just finished with "Peabo Bryson."  Apparently Peabo is around the 1200th most-listened-to artist for major music players.  I didn't listen to any Peabo Bryson; I listened to a Text-to-Speech program saying "Peabo Bryson" to me.

Twelve hundred down, two hundred ninety-nine-odd thousand to go.

Skyclad - Something To Cling To

Most uplifting song ever.

Then as if from out of nowhere.
(and just when you least expected).
floats a single piece of driftwood - by some unseen force directed
It's a gift life often brings you.
When you thought all hope long gone.
Sometimes a single dream to cling to,
Gives you strength to carry on!

It seems the wisest words that I know,
(three which some dead scholar wrote)
are simply these: - "Dum spiro spero"
meaning; "WHILE I BREATHE I HOPE!"

Featuring His Holiness The Dalai Lama With Toshinori Kondo and Bill Laswell - Death

Found this while browsing for obscure shit (It certainly fits). Basically, Bill Laswell and the other guy make trippy ambient music and the dalai lama... preaches, if you will, about stuff. And they talk a little bit. It's so fucking awesome that they actually got together though, because Bill Laswell is ace.

Seriously? I got it the first week out and I was so disappointed. It's a lot less rockin' then the last one and I found it really monotonous. I think it's because Oliveri left and the band was so bass oriented.

I kinda liked it. I mean, QOTSA's last album was very good, don't get me wrong, but I always find myself shuffling through songs on that album, unlike this one where I let the whole CD just play through. Subconciously, I believe thats some sort of statement, somehow. Plus I <3 'Burn The Witch'.
