Jesus Christ, I want this game so bad. I might trade like half my PS2 games to get it.

Wouldn't trading half your P.S. 2 make the game rather difficult to play?

I also wish to possess this game.  I loved Ico.

Man o man this game looks good. I bought ICO because it was 5.99 in a reject bin at some random gamestore then fell in love with it. Colossus looks even better, and how can you not love the idea of spending 3 minutes climbing your enemy to stab him in the head?

After playing God of War, my thirst for good platformers is back.  All hail Shadows of the Colossus, where every level is you running around on the back of a boss.  Fuck yes.

I saw the OPM article when they first started talking about it and knew then that I'd sell my soul to get it.  After playing the demo, I am ready to sell my soul and my left testicle.

Colossus looks amazing, but it'll have to wait until I get Digital Devil Saga 2 and Dragon Quest VIII, since those are my essential purchases. I'm sure it won't become extremely rare like DDS2 and I haven't been looking forward to Colossus for the same amount of time as DQVIII (which is, like, 3 - 4 years).

This game has been out since last Wednesday.  Why am I the first person to say "HOLY FUCK THIS GAME IS AMAZING"?

Come on, someone else around here has to have played the retail version.

Penny Arcade's Tycho had this to say:

The game needs to be seen by every conscious organism on planet Earth. And if that means that you must play it in order to do so, that is your cross to bear. I'm being facetious. Well, I'm being a little facetious. Thus far, the frustration has not been outweighed by the allure.

…which I think is pretty amusing. Still waiting on a New Zealand release, myself.

Frustrating is what this game is, on hard mode. but I can not seem to put the controller down. Which makes it worse.

I've taken down 6 colossi so far, and I have mixed feelings about the game.  The environment is expansive and beautiful, but it's also pretty much empty.  I appreciate the absence of tedious enemy fights, but I wish there were a little more to interact with.  The battles are somewhat varied, and the combination of puzzle/action makes for some fun gameplay moments, but once you solve how to grab onto the colossus, it's pretty much just a matter of holding R1 and stabbing a couple times.  The storyline is also pretty sparse, but I suspect that may be intentional.

It might get more amazing later on, but for now I'm just finding it to be average.

Odds are my video store won't get it so I'll have to buy the damn thing.. no big stress. I just don't want to buy a game I'll clock once and then never again.

Yeah, I know what you mean. It sounds like an amazing experience, but I fear it might not be one for long-term play. Oh well, it's good to support games that are a little different from the norm.

Just jaw droppingly amazing.

I can't reccomend this highly enough.  just one breathtaking experience.  I love this game.  I haven't been this emmersed in a game since i first picked up super mario 3.

They're completly different experiences, they're only similar due to they're sheer wondeful-ness

(is that a word?)

I traded FFX-2, Splinter Cell: Pandora Tommorow and another game that is already forgotten for this. And 20 bucks.

I love it. I've only beaten the first one.
