I know at least one other person on here listens to Feist because I read the Stylus review's comment box and was surprised and impressed. Does anybody else?

(p.s. she is awesome in a live setting.)

Fuck yeah.  Mushaboom is wicked.  Gatekeeper is even better.  I wish I had been a fan when she was still primarily touring with BSS, but I sure am a fan now.

Has anyone listened to her first album?

Was anyone else mildly disappointed?

Someone in FeistCorp's secret lair just found the phrase "first album" on a Feist-related page on the Internet. A strike team is headed for your house now.

They tried to stop me by wildly overcharging for the album at the show ($25), but they didn't suspect that I would call their bluff.

Now, I must face Gonzales in test of hand-to-hand combat prowess on my roof.

She did "See Line Woman" when she opened for BSS here. I think my jaw hit the floor. It was better than J Mascis.

sjbrot: but it's "out of print"! we can justify ripping you off! :)

Monarch has some amazing stuff on it & over all it think it's best moments completely top Let It Die. I'll take La Sirena, The Onliest & That's What I Say, It's Not What I Mean anyday.

I just got Let it Die and damn am I infatuated with her voice. At first I thought Mushaboom(which is ridiculously catchy) would overshadow the rest of the album. Luckily it doesn't because nearly all of the tracks are quality stuff, I especially like When I was a Young Girl.

I think she's fantastic.  One of these days I need to bring "Tout Doucement" into my French class.

If you need something to bring into French class, make it Serge Gainsbourg. If your French teacher is worth his/her worth, he/she will either be horrified or will be so into it.

I went and saw Feist in Saskatoon at Louie's it wasn't too long ago.. and she was absolutely phenomenal. New Buffalo and Jason Collett opened for her, and they were also really good. I'm infatuated with New Buffalo, she amazed me.

Feist is now going to go on tour with Bright Eyes... Two of my favourite artists, and I won't be able to see them together!

New Buffalo didn't impress me. Her crowd interaction was virtually non-existent when I saw her open for Feist in Regina, and it just wasn't an engaging performance.

The music wasn't bad, but the live show wasn't really there.

Thanks, I'll look into it.  Anything to stop the learning process.  ;)

I caught the film-clip for "Mushaboom" on T.V. the other night, first time I'd seen it or heard the song for that matter.  I'm smitten!  The song's great and the film-clip's just lovely, a bit like the one for Björk's "It's Oh So Quiet", but more whimsical.  Next pay-check, I'm buying the album.

I don't know...i saw her open for Rilo Kiley a few months back, and I can't say I really enjoyed her that much.
