We can't all be perfect. Besides, Lester Bangs was so awesome I can totally ignore some things.

loyalpeon:
about 80 posts, half of them canadian it seem, and none of you have mentioned the sheer life-changing gift that is Leonard Cohen. tsk tsk tsk

having said that, romania has offered nothing to the international music scene, so I have no prezzies nor any apologies for you.

And before you start moaning, 2 things: o-zone are moldovan and the cheeky girls are a product of british manufacture who have not even made it in romania (and if you knew the bredth of shit on the airwaves there, that's saying something)

also, i should probably say something about britain cause i've lived here for most my life, but i won't cause it's already been coved sufficely and pretty well - one or two minor qualms aside.

Running For Home:

--- Quote from: rive gauche ---I would like to apologise for such horrid Canadian acts as: Sloan, The Tragically Hip, Bryan Adams, Brian Mulroney, Alanis Morrissette, Great Big Sea, The Barenaked Ladies, 54/40 and Canadian Idol. All that stupid stuff.
--- End quote ---

To be fair, we didn't invent Canadian Idol.  Our hands are somewhat clean.

Life-changing gift? I mean he's good, but not that good. I would like to add him to my list.

a pack of wolves:

--- Quote from: Johnny C ---John Cameron, aka That Indie Fuck, The Guy Who Hates tatu, etc. I'm going to submit my name for actual music reviews, too.
--- End quote ---

Ah, cool. I was interested because my friend Will writes for that bit of Stylus, or maybe edits it, I forget. And he does love the dodgy pop, even made me sit through a Girls Aloud record once...
