Storm Rider:
I think LaBrie gets too much flak. Sure, his voice can get a little grating, but at least he's in key, which puts him ahead of a LOT of vocalists. And he mostly keeps the singing below the window-shattering range on their new album.
EDIT: I actually had the greatest idea ever the other day, and forgot to mention it here. Hypothetically, let's say LaBrie left Dream Theater to work on his solo career. So then Russell Allen from Symphony X comes in to sing, and brings along Michael Romeo as a second guitarist. Prog metal supergroup times a billion!
Seriously. Petrucci/Romeo guitar duels. Think of the possibilities.
