Embarassing Music Purchases

<< < (22/27) > >>

Patrick:
If that counts, well, most of my dad's music collection has me red-faced. Like his Mary McCaslin collection. *seppuku* Her cover of the Beatles' "Help!" makes the baby Jesus cry.

RUMBLEMOOSE:
I think being embarrassed by your parents music is an entirely different topic. I mean, half of your musical taste as a teenager is accounted for by hating what your parents listen to.

Although my mom likes Sigur Rós, so she's probably indier than I am.

Tomservo:
Wow your mom has such good taste.  My parents mostly listen to crappy music. I grew up having to endure Celin Dion, Shania Twain, Silly "inspirational" christain artists, and the same Beach Boys Best Of album over and over again.

Storm Rider:
My mom has a Carpenters CD with a cover of Ticket to Ride on it. It's the song with every ounce of fun taken out of it. It makes me cry on the inside.

hoax:
I've got some from some pretty terrible pop-"punk" (the quotes make it ironic) bands I liked when I was 15-16...like Fenix TX or New Found Glory.

I also have some mortifying         /screamo discs, like Finch and AFI.

Oh goodness.
