Was going to rave about slsk but you beat me to it.
Anyhow - I love using it, exept when it goes all crashy, but that dosnt happen often.

I've been using DC++ for the past few months and it's totally beat out BitTorrent 8-9 times over in terms of getting the more obscure stuff I want.

DC++ is like bittorrent in that using the software is not the important part. It's all about the trackers/hubs you use. Find a good one and both are pretty awesome.
In other news, OiNK > IndieTorrents any day.
