Yes, but with a violin bow, and Jimmy Page-style instead of Jonsi Birgisson-style. All you need to really do is set your action a bit higher. This is the guitar I did it on:
Her name is Gertrude. She is an Arbor AP230. I painted the "Zoso" on the pickguard by hand.

Can't stand maple fingerboards, myself.

Really? I adore the sight of a black Strat with a maple fingerboard. Then again, maybe it's my Clapton-worshipping that does it.
