Well, I am slightly musically retarded - or was, a year or two ago - so I'm always happy to get new music that's actually worth something. Thanks to the comic, I've discovered Modest Mouse, The Unicorns, The New Pornographers and Deerhoof. Yummeh.

Also Arcade Fire from the RL page, I believe, and I'm sure much more I can't think of right now.

The Decemberists I think, though that may have been a combination of the forum and RL. Either way they are definitely one of my favourite bands now :)

That matter? They're still very good.

I confess there were several bands in the previous music recommendations which I hadn't heard of but loved.  I've ended up buying a lot more music because of this comic.
