Dear Jeph

Am I allowed to punch other people on this forum?

gimmemoreginge:
Oh come on, I said it was cheeky. I think they're great and randomly funny and want to encourage him. But hey, a punch up may be more entertaining anyhow to try it  :-P

Kugai:
Will you be bringing in Michael Buffer to call the fight Jeff?

:D  ;)

A delicate question here.

Beyond the existing forum rule about not nitpicking, what else should we your guests know about appropriate conduct when we're critically discussing a strip, a plot line, or whatever?

"Don't be a dick" is a fine rule but I'm asking for something more specific. I know I've pissed you off before without meaning to, and want to avoid doing it again if possible.

Will posts along the lines of "This didn't work for me" or "That didn't feel realistic" drive you up the wall if they respect that you're committed to doing the best job possible? Is that the key issue, that some people have said that you don't care instead of saying that they didn't like something?

You've always made it clear that you're self-critical (as is every serious artist I know). Is external criticism just hurtful piling-on on top of your self-criticism?

There's probably a lot of us who want to balance an open discussion with being decent to the real person whose passion is creating Questionable Content.

Well I haven't banned Headwound yet and all he/she does is bitch about stupid shit

Seriously though, it's not a cut and dry thing. 99% of the time if someone here says something negative about the comic I don't give a shit, but if I'm having an especially bad day, or their criticism is especially stupid, they're gonna get a reaction from me.

I mean, after you get past the black lipstick and purple/rainbow haircolors?

personally, i find them incredibly catchy...

I have never heard either band but judging by their names I would hate them

Are there still any plans of publishing a QC book? If so, how are they comming?

--- Quote from: Zingoleb on 22 Apr 2009, 01:47 ---Jeph, what is your take on learning music theory?

I know some people are radically against it.

--- End quote ---

it sucks and is no fun at all whatsoever but it does provide you with extremely useful skills. however if you take it to an extreme it will suck all the soul out of your playing and composition.
