Long Title? Indeed.

Although not particularly Amazing, it is most certainly a question that is Star Wars related, and according to your "fan-boyosity" it just might very well be monumental...

My two friends and I have been arguing about this...well, basically ever since Episode 2 was realeased, and I feel with the mass level of nostalgic radiation and seemingly indepth Geek knowledge that shimmers about this forum can help this very topic that has engulfed our minds can be released upon the populus....

Who Would Win: Count Dooku, or Mace Windu?

Now, lets weigh some things here...

Dooku:

1. Over 80 Years of Force Experience.

2. A Master Duelist, surgical with a lightsaber with both its construction and combat style.

3. Trained by both Master Yoda and Darth Sidious; the epitome of strength in both the Light and Dark Sides of the Force (respectively).

4. Force Levels matched that of Master Yoda's, which are obviously much more vast compared to Mace Windu.

5. Is freaking SCARAMANGA, DRACULA, AND SARUMAN!

Mace Windu:

1. Aggressive and Irregular Lightsaber Duelist.

2. Master of "Form 7", a style that demands high concentration and Force awareness.

3. Considerably younger and more able-bodied.

4. He braved the natives of Hurrikane to obtain a pretty kick-ass lightsaber crystal...thats gotta count for something, right?

5. Knows what a "Royalle with Cheese" is.

Now, when it all comes down to it I'd say this is a pretty even fight...but for me, Im going to give the nod to Lord Tyranus, more formally known as Count Dooku...he's just so much more trained and hardened in both the Ways of the Force and Force Capability,

but now, I want to hear from you guys out there.

let the frenzy begin.

Dooku, Dooku, Dooku. Mace Windu is awesome and all, but Dooku has got the dark side and tons of experience.

I'd like to back Windu because I'm a pussy and can't give into the Dark side but when you look at it Dooku has got the upper hand. In the movie saga atleast (not talking EU here.) the only Jedi who could beat opponents from the Dark side were Luke,Obi-Wan and Yoda. So looking at the averages  I'd realistically put my money on Dooku.

Seriously this forum made my Star Wars knowledge seem so insignifigant.

I reckon Windu because between ytou and me I reckon he would have got sidious if Anikan hadn't been such a cock.

Yes, they are very different indeed....

I can see where you would say Mace would have won if not for Anakin's interference, but for me I still think Sidious had him from the very beginning. I mean, half of the fight he had his blade at Mace's chest, and then they'd cross blades, and he would have it angled for him again....his style is alot different than most Jedi/Sith, even though it is still From 5, its a strange variation that uses stabs and wide-strokes. Up until Mace got smart and disarmed him, it seemed like Sidious had the upper hand.

That, and the whole thing with the lightning. We obviously knew that Sidious wasn't weak enough to continue the blast, seeing as he did it twos econds after with about four times the enthusiam. The whole reason why he stopped the lightning was to bait Anakin into believing that Mace really was a cold-hearted killer, ready to strike down the Supreme Chancellor. Then, when  Anakin took his arm, and inadvertently taken his final step to the Dark Side, Sidious could attack and make it look like self-defense, completely innocent.

Of course I could be wrong, I was just stating my opinion.

And, if it jsut me or is it weird that Tyranus never used some Force Lightning in the Obi-Wan/Anakin duel? You think it would have helped him out or something, hah. He still was pretty badass in that fight, though...so Im cool.

No, others have Mastered Form 7, even Darth Maul did. The trick is, he did it WITHOUT falling to the Dark Side. All the others did.

I like to forget those fruity jedi motherfuckers and focus instead on Star Wars' glorious seedy underbelly.  I'd like to see Lucas make a crime saga set in Nar Shadaa instead of more Campbellian bullshit.  My preferred exposition in the Star Wars universe is so Neutral Chaotic it's not even funny.  I refer to the first Dark Forces, among other sources.

The "Forms of Lightsaber Combat" are explained in a few of the books and comics, and basically just explain certain styles that jedi can learn as their fighting technique, although each Jedi does put they're own unique touch to the style. EXAMPE: Both Yoda and Sidious know Form 5, but Yoda uses the acrobatics much more often with accurate parries, whilst Sidious uses wide slashes and stabs, and more or less uses the acrobatics for dodging.

And I have to agree with the Nar Shadaa idea. In fact, its almost capital! I'd also like to see the crime lords of Coruscant...I mean, we saw in Episode 2 a drug-pusher. I'd love to see them go more indepth with that kind of stuff, futuristic drugs and mafioso...

ooher. most of the novels have touched on the seedy underbellies of plenty of worlds - especially the horribly under-developed character of Xixor in 'Shadows of the Empire'.

I want to know why Dr Evasan has a death sentence on 12 systems (and why his friend doesn't like you either)...
