I get the feeling that a shared computer wouldn't be that great with Last.fm. Would it show the stuff that my dad listens to?

Oh yes, I just sit around listening to A Clockwork Orange soundtrack and Blondie.

You can turn the plug-in on and off so it doesn't have to record what other people listen to.

Depends on how much music you listen to but it starts making charts on Sundays I think.
