I'm usually not the type to offer free ad space on my desktop, but I thought this wallpaper was pretty cool-looking. So whatever.

Also, I want a Mac. DAMNIT.

There's my desktop.  Bonus points for identifying the band (not the one on winamp, the one whose picture makes up my wallpaper).

My desktop, screenshotted a couple weeks ago:

A (very simple) wallpaper I made when I was bored a while ago. This is on rotation on my account at uni:

It's part of Konfabulator/Yahoo Widgets. It does require an app running in the background though, although it's fairly sparing overhead-wise.

I need an iconbar type deal for Windows 2000.  Everything only works on XP.  Fuckwads!

(I only have 1280x1024, and the quick launch bar robs so much taskbar space.)

That's awesome.  I have two different sizes of monitors (17" and 19"), so that stuff doesn't work for me.

My current Communism/Nintendo themed background

All part of the Stalinization of my Nintendo products. Next up: I'm gonna paint my DS red and put a yellow hammer and sickle on its case.

It's why I couldn't stand living on the east coast. The best thing about working on the coast is that I can take my break aroud the sunset and watch pretty colours.

I think I definitely win for most uncluttered desktop:

I don't even have time on! hah! :-)
everything I need is in the start menu (which consists of only four items: run, firefox, itunes, and c drive)
My computer is the most streamlined it could possibly be :-)

top one.  You know you like it.

P.S. Stifled Dreams, Nighthawks is hell of awesome. Props on the desktop choice.  I'm trying to find Guernica for mine, but I'm really lazy.  When I find it I'll probably post it here.

Except that it's from EVE online. I should know, I took that screenshot myself.

EVE Online is a space game. not ever game set in space is Homeworld 2.

Which, incidentally, I also play. poorly. can't get past the third mission.

EDIT: I know tha tthus far we've been using desktop screenies, but I felt it's time for a change.

So here's my Oblivion character, Rutger Holst.

Excuse the graphics quality, my PC's a little below the line for Oblivion.
