I love it when a song has a ridiculous ending. It gives you something to look forward to. Examples:

Wolf Parade - I'll Believe In Anything
Explosions in the Sky - The Only Moment We Were Alone
The Arcade Fire - Crown of Love
Bright Eyes - Poison Oak
Elliott Smith - Can't Make A Sound
Wolf Parade - We Built Another World

Is this about Amazing endings (as per the title) or about Ridiculous ones.
I'll assume it's about Amazing ones.

Echo and The Bunnymen - Ocean Rain
Arcade Fire - In the Back Seat
Spiritualized - Stop Your Crying
The Smiths - There is a Light That Never Goes Out
Velvet Underground - Sweet Jane (the full version)
Lou Reed - Satellite of Love
Ash - Meltdown
Bon Jovi - Living on a Prayer
Radiohead - The Tourist (just one bell and the album ends)

The ending of Nick Cave & Bad Seeds' Stagger Lee is pretty amazing as well as Hallelujah which ends with the lines:

The tears are welling in my eyes again
I need twenty big buckets to catch them in
Twenty pretty girls to carry them down
Twenty deep holes to bury them in

sung by two women, classic ending if you ask me :)

Tom Waits - Anywhere I Lay My Head

It's mostly acapella with absolutely incredible vocals--but once you thinks it's finished there's this amazing New Orleans-esque brass band reprise.

Well, I see that the world is upside-down
Seems that my pockets were filled up with gold
And now the clouds, well they’ve covered over
And the wind is blowing cold
Well, I don’t need anybody, because I learned, I learned to be alone
Well, I said anywhere, anywhere, anywhere I lay my head, boys
I'm gonna call my home

I love you. Stagger Lee's hilarious violin solo at the end - so great. Even better live when he's beating the hell out of a piano as well.

Another Nick Cave song with a great ending is 15ft Of Pure White Snow, because that's got the big 'Oh My Lord' crescendo part with about three diffrent vocal parts going on at once.

Other songs with great sex-like climaxes:

Weezer - Only In Dreams
Wilco - Muzzle Of bees
Wilco - At Least That's What You Said
Wilco - Misunderstood (NOTHING! NOTHING! NOTHING!)
Beatles - A Day In The Life
Beatles - I've Got A Feeling
Stellastarr - My Coco
Sigur Ros - Hoppipolla
Secret Machines - Now Here Is Nowhere
Robbie Williams - Radio

Black Sabbath - Snowblind; Great solo fadeout, and it's probably the 3rd best song about cocaine ever, next to the song Cocaine (which I don't actually think is about Cocaine), and Johnny Cash's Cocaine Blues.

but the music sucks because the keyboards don't have the cold/mechanical sound they had but a wannabe techno sound that it's pathetic for Rammstein standars.

Arcturus - Alone

"And the cloud that took the form,
When the rest of heaven...was bluuuuue,
Of a demon in my view, OF A DEMON IN MY VIEEW!"

Garm is just such an amazing vocalist.

Immortal - Damned in Black

That relentless, blizzard like riff slowly fading off into silence...

Sabbat - The Church Bizarre

Song fades into an endless 'Jesus wants me for a sunbeam' style of people clapping and singing 'Hallelujah!' over and over for about ten seconds, before the unmistakable sound of Satan laughing drowns them out.

Ewigkeit - Strange Volk

Disintegrates into glitch techno and ends with a sample of the ceremony master at the Restaurant At The End of the Universe from the original h2g2 radio series

"After this there is...void...emptiness...oooo-blivion...ab-so-lute nothing!"

Sol Invictus - Kneel to the Cross

"And it's ever so wrong...to dare to be strong...
'for summer is a-coming in, arise! Arise!
Summer is a-coming in, arise! Arise!
Summer is a-coming in, arise! Arise!
Summer is a-coming in, arise! Arise!
Summer is a-coming in, arise! Arise!
Summer is a-coming in, arise! Arise!
Summer is a-coming in, arise! Arise!
Summer is a-coming in, arise! Arise!
Summer is a-coming in, arise! Arise!
Summer is a-coming in, arise! Arise! ARISE!"

Sol Invictus - Sheath and Knife

Total breakdown of the emotional crescendo allows the full power to soak in.

"And a sound...goes over...the woods..."

Amazing endings... I go with

Faith No More - Just A Man (the whole song is amazing, but the ending is absolutely fantastic)
Pavement - Stop Breathing (beautiful guitar interplay)
Pavement - Father To A Sister Of Thought (nice change of pace)
R.E.M. - Find The River (nice lyrics)
B-52's - 6060-842 (nice guitar work)
Legião Urbana - Perfeição (you probably don't know this Brazilian song/band but I do love the way the song changes from listing things to a shimmering of hope...)
Roy Orbison - It's Over (hey, I like Roy Orbison!)

Faith No More - Epic

Greatest one ever
The music video makes it even better when the piano blows up

also
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Under the Bridge
Faith No More - Land of Sunshine
Weezer - Say it Ain't So

On Say it Ain't So, I like how it goes from the emotional last chorus, then back to the simple main riff.

I've gotta say that Cursive's Staying Alive is one of the most beautiful endings to a song and an album.

Sonic Youth - Schizophrenia
Frog Eyes - One in Six Children Will Flee in Boats
Interpol - The New
Interpol - Leif Erickson

I totally forgot how good the ending of Zion by Lauryn Hill is.
Santana is sort doodling away on his geetar and then a choir begins:

marching, marching, marching, marching, to Zion, marching, marching, marching!

And Lauryn Hill goes slightly bonkers and blow those pipes up!

So good it hurts :)

You won't get lynched because November Rain does have an amazing ending.

I'd say my favorite ending is Dave Holland Quintet with "Prime Directive" on their Extended Play: Live at Birdland album.

The Dismemberment Plan - The City

All of a sudden, the one-chord guitars blast a stop-start rythm, then Travis, exploding with all of the pain and loss contained in the song belts out "ALL...I...EVER...SAY...NOW...IS...GOOD...BYYYYYYYYE!" bringing back the awesome droney keyboard line and Joe Eiseley's crazy beat with more power as Travis continues to shout "BYYYYYYYYYYYE!"

Beautiful.

I always loved the ending of Morning Bell/Amnesiac by Radiohead. The beginning sounds so dissonant and awkward that the ending sounds ten times more beautiful than it should.

I just registered just to tell you how much I agree with that. Those are the three greatest songs ever written on the topic of cocaine. And now that I think of such a list, I'm supprised to say that there isn't a Red Hot Chilli Peppers song there o_O.

Eh, It's late and I'm probaly going to forget I registered tomorrow.

Aight, might as well throw this out there:

 R.E.M. - Swan Swan H:

Long low time ago, people talk to me
A pistol hot cup of rhyme
The whiskey is water, the water is wine.

Technically it's the chorus as well, but the way Stipe sings it always trips something in my head that forces me to belt that sucker.

Tom Waits - Wrong Side of the Road:

With my double-barrel shotgun
An' a whole box of shells
 Celebrate the fourth of July
We'll do a hundred miles an hour
 Spendin' someone else's dough
Drive all the way to Reno
on the wrong side of the road

Classic Waits. Thus endeth the justification.

And of course, because I'm hopelessly enamored with Dave King...
Flogging Molly - Black Friday Rule:

The next time you see me, don't ask for my name
For I am the king, and long shall I reign.

 Rawk.
