The thread in which Deerhoof rocks the hell out in Sydney.

Jarne:
I thought it was neato, so just a diff'rence of opinions.
Also, I think I missed what the video's where about. They kinda flew over my head (that and I was right next to the screen and couldn't watch half of them 'cus of the neck strain).

jcknbl:
They were all pretty strange and surreal and there wasn't really any kind of plot or topic or anything beyond really absurd and somewhat perverse visuals and sounds. I just checked, the movies were made by Martha Colburn (and the dancers are known as Starter Set).

When they introduced Deerhoof they called them "the greatest Deerhoof cover-band ever". I love it.

Jarne:
The show I went to had the "Leg and Pans Dance Troupe" or somesuch. Maybe there were different dancers at the shows?

jcknbl:
Ohhh, yeah thats what the dance group I saw were called too, but I didn't remember what they were called so I checked the kill rock stars site which said Deehoof was travelling with a dance group called starter set. W/e

Benn London:
I'm putting that show in my top ten.
Pivot were really interesting in their 'who needs vocals?' approach,
but it was Deerhoof who really made something.
And Spectrum? I'll be heading there more often, it's an awesome quaint little venue.

Did anyone go to the Glebe Town Hall show? I was going to but cash levels weren't on my side. I might not have gone to the spectrum show either, luckily my girlfriend bought us tickets for my birthday. Genius gift, now all I need are laneway tickets.

Oh, and I saw fighter jet shirt guy too.
