Also, I don't think it's the music thing that comes in.  I know this one girl who "plays" violin.  She's really hot, but can't actually make any good sounds come out of that instrument, but I still find her very much more attractive than pop girls.  Hell, a lot of them can sing reasonably well, maybe.  I haven't really heard much from them.
