Some ipod Question

Maybe we have different Ear Buds, but they're one the best sounding headphones you can buy on the market. The only think I don't like about them is that they're 'mug-me' white.

My wife has one of the cheaper smaller rio and loves it.
Sure you can't put 800 CDs on it but they make a model where you can I'm sure.

I'm sorry what? They're quite possibly the worst headphones on the market... Not only is the sound quality awful but they also require a tonne of volume just to get some basic clarity. According to an article in the local newspaper they're been actively linked to hearing damage for god's sake...
Son, you have no idea what you're talking about.
Unless of course you're talking about other white headphones that don't come standard with ipods.

I'd just like to chip in and say I find the stock iPod earbuds satisfactory. Compared to the earbuds included with other MP3 players these days, I'd even rate them above average. They certainly don't compare to a pair of $50 in-ear headphones, but they're honestly not that bad. Anyone who's experienced audio through higher-end headphones will obviously find them lacking, but the rest of us are less discriminating.
Also, "they've been actively linked to hearing damage"? Are you serious? All headphones can cause hearing loss if you turn up the volume too high. How are the iPod earbuds any different in this respect?
