I'm with Lummer, that was just crap. There's never a good reason to like something purely because you think you shouldn't, it's just irritating. Irony is a dead scene after all.

I work part-time in inventory, and thus have to spend a large amount of time in places like CVS, Walgreens, Shaws, Stop and Shop. They always have very mainstream music playing. (It's obvious wherever they cull their playlist from is a Clear Channel property.)
Some of the mainstream music I hear I enjoy. I don't usually find out the names of the songs or the bands that play them, but sometimes a really catchy pop hook can be really enjoyable.
