Well, the way I see it is it's RATM with a vocalist that I like, because I absolutely hated De La Rocha. I don't say he was bad, I just hated him. Plus, Chris Cornell is God.

I kinda like Audioslave, however I was never a fan of either Soundgarden or RATM. Especially RATM whom I always think of as shitty Beastie Boys. I think one of the main reasons hardcore RATM fans loathe Audioslave is because Chris Cornell's "no politics" lyrics. Personally I'm grateful.

I love how so many people think this band is essential just because Cobain liked them. I'm not saying you're one of them, but it's really hilarious. Everything I've heard of the Melvins is dire.

If anything, the fact that Cobain liked them is a deterrent. Seriously, the Melvins are fuckign ACE.
