Actually, if someone's talents in that band are being wasted, it's Jordison's. Overrated, certainly, but at least he's a competent drummer.

I liked Slipknot's self-titled and found Mate.Feed.Kill.Repeat charming in spite of its amateurishness.  Those were both pretty original and interesting takes on the nu-metal style, and probably my favourites from the genre from what it's worth.  Iowa was stale and embarrassing, their latest was pretty dull.
