It's annoying to see loads of little 13 year old moshers walking around your town centre constantly wearing these stupid Slipknot hoodies. They're a band I grew out of when I was 14.

amok:
Yeah, you and everyone sane both.

Although around here the Slipknot hoodies are being usurped by Funeral for a Friend and My Chemical Romance hoodies. I've still not decided which is worse.

lessthanfirst:
I like Funeral for a Friend. I can't stand My Chemical Romance though, I think they're god awful.

Looks like they've got another year to go?

Mate.Feed.Kill.Repeat must rank as one of the most promising debuts by a pants band. The original idea of Slipknot was all well and good: they were supposed to be a small venue band (the only place where their extra percussionists would be of ANY use) with an outrageous stageshow, where each member would bring in influences. Mate.Feed.Kill.Repeat is the only album that shows any elements of this, really. I think it was mainly money and Corey Taylors ego that ruined that party. Taken a different direction, they might not have been that bad. Certainly, if I was forced to listen to nu-metal, I would probably pick them. Maybe that's how they look at themselves in the mirror each day.

"Hey guys, at least we're not fucking Adema!"
