Bob Ricci Band and Lemon Demon. One does parodies, the other writes original stuff that's just weird but really funny too. So, from here you can go ahead and discuss these and other funny bands.

MC Hawking is where it's at.

Lemon Demon is great. Particularly the Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny.

I know it's kinda played, but I still dig the old school MC Frontalot stuff.

Also: Steven Lynch is wrong in the head.

Just released our third album locally. We think we're funny, even if no-one else does.

Zladko “Zlad” Vladcik - Elektronik – Supersonik
With video.  Actually found this from Paul Gilbert's website, which is pretty funny, and some of his music is pretty amusing (no links to music, though, sorry).

Well, it's wrong in a good way.  Like Charles Manson.  No, scratch that last bit.

Have you seen the video to 'I Am The Antipope'?

So good.

"I AM THE ANTI-POPE
LIKE THE LION CHASE THE ANTELOPE
LIKE A HAMMER SMASH A CANTALOUPE
I AM THE ANTI-POPE"

As for comedy bands, well, personally, nothing in the world cracks me up like Crotchduster. You've gotta love Big Fat Box of Shit. Other great comedy metal is Anti-Ben, Satans Penguins, Lawnmower Deth and Metal Duck. I also love the Horn-Rim Jobs, who are a spoken word piss-take of emo. As for other comedy music, you are never, ever, ever gonna beat Tom Lehrer, so don't even try, okay?

Also, Monty Python records = awesome (Eric the Half a Bee!) and there's a few other pretty good comic artists that work in music. For real old-school classics, there's Peter Sellers music (Get his cover of Unchained Melody. Fuck.), and in a similiar vein, Spike Milligan, and just any goon show based music. For sheer ridiculousness, there still isn't much sillier than 'I'm Walking Backwards For Christmas (Across the Irish Sea)' and Kenneth Williams 'Rambling Sid Rumpole' folk pisstakes, and the Bonzo Dog Doo-Da Band of course. Gotta love 'The Intro and the Outro', which is pretty much where The Fast Show get their Jazz Club catchphrase from "And looking very relaxed, Adolf Hitler on vibes. Nice." Flanders and Swann you can take or leave, I don't think they've aged particularly well, pretty much like Noel Coward, though Monty Python's piss-take Noel Coward song ('Isn't it Awfully Nice to Have a Penis') is still pretty much spot on.

Did somebody mention Monty Python?

I never wanted to do this in the first place!
I... I wanted to be...

A LUMBERJACK!

(piano vamp)

Leaping from tree to tree! As they float down the mighty rivers of
British Columbia! With my best girl by my side!
The Larch!
The Pine!
The Giant Redwood tree!
The Sequoia!
The Little Whopping Rule Tree!
We'd sing! Sing! Sing!

Oh, I'm a lumberjack, and I'm okay,
I sleep all night and I work all day.

CHORUS: He's a lumberjack, and he's okay,
He sleeps all night and he works all day.

I cut down trees, I eat my lunch,
I go to the lavatory.
On Wednesdays I go shoppin'
And have buttered scones for tea.

Mounties: He cuts down trees, he eats his lunch,
He goes to the lavatory.
On Wednesdays he goes shoppin'
And has buttered scones for tea.

CHORUS

I cut down trees, I skip and jump,
I like to press wild flowers.
I put on women's clothing,
And hang around in bars.

Mounties: He cuts down trees, he skips and jumps,
He likes to press wild flowers.
He puts on women's clothing
And hangs around.... In bars???????

CHORUS

I chop down trees, I wear high heels,
Suspenders and a bra.
I wish I'd been a girlie
Just like my dear papa.

Mounties: He cuts down trees, he wears high heels
Suspenders and a .... a Bra????
(mounties break off song, and begin insulting lumberjack)

Have you heard Anal Cunt's acoustic album, Picnic of Love? The one designed to piss off all the people who liked them because they were ZOMG SO EXTREME. It's full of acoustic songs about true love, staying chaste till marriage, and respecting womens feelings, sung in an awful, squeaky voice. It's very much one of the funniest things AxCx have done, apart from possibly some of their covers. Particularly the Oi cover of 'Stayin' Alive' and the grindcore version of the Hungry Hungry Hippos jingle.

Picnic of Love was the first album that really came to my mind. Seriously, so funny.

but the music sucks because the keyboards don't have the cold/mechanical sound they had but a wannabe techno sound that it's pathetic for Rammstein standars.

DangerDoom's "The Mouse and the Mask" has stuff that cracks me right up.

Also: MC Paul Barman? He's a libidinous fuck and far too pleased with his own cleverness, but you have to laugh.

The Vandals can be pretty funny, like “Live fast diarrhea”. Sometimes it’s a little to political punk for me, but other times it’s fucking hilarious.
